    Such a pretty day.

https://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/2021/08/gunman-in-random-shooting-on-south-haven-pier-once-threatened-school-shooting.html Columbine let the genie out of the bottle. It'll never go back. In the minds of these people it's totally okay to commit mass murder, usually because of some slight -...

    Fall MAP?

I'm seeing a bunch of talk online from the environmentalist community (I hate that term since I consider this site to be an environmentalist site) again painting the most negative picture imaginable about what's going to galvanize public opinion towards closing as many roads as possible. Rather...

Get Togethers, Events, and Trip Reports posting guidelines

Hi all - I just wanted to clarify that the "Get Togethers, Events, and Trip Reports" forum is really meant to be about NJ Pine Barrens related topics. Anything outside that scope should be in the General Discussion forum. From now on anything posted in the Get Togethers forum that isn't...

    Thanks Ben

I totally forgot about all of this and those videos. I wish I had saved them.

can you help me find these ruins?

I think the Bill Curtsinger edition of John McPhee's The Pine Barrens has a pic or two from Friendship. Nothing as good as Pan's. I can't believe this discussion is 10 years old.

    New ORV Plan Ideas

A lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth, if this is anything like 2015.

    Announcing the new NJPB Maps

I don't know why I didn't notice this until just now, when wks commented on the thread. The extra level is nice to have but I occasionally use the topo map for things outside of NJ, which the NJGIN and Boydsmaps versions wouldn't cover (as far as I know.)

Nearly 30,000 Macs reportedly infected with mysterious malware

For an iPhone, no. If I had an Android I would 100% run it.

Nearly 30,000 Macs reportedly infected with mysterious malware

People still don't believe me when I say that you need antivirus on a Mac. I even made it a requirement on all of the Macs at work.

    Snow

The snowblower won't be here until next week so I can't be held responsible for anything that happens between now and then.

    Toyota 4runner

Those look small enough to stick under your rear seat. And that way they won't have the sun beating down on the plastic making it brittle.

    Toyota 4runner

Yes, one of the boxy ones. I had a 90 and loved it. I don't think I'd get an obnoxious roof rack like I used to have again. What was I thinking? That thing was super reliable except for the power window switches. After I replaced the radiator and coolant expansion tank. :) I'd like to find a...

Bob, you're brave buying a dark color vehicle for the pines. Granted, that's what I usually had too. I've been looking at Jeep Cherokees (2001 and older) and it's amazing that people want $5000+ for one that's at least 20 years old.

    Snow

I finally broke down and bought a snowblower. After the snow happens, of course. Gets delivered 2/16, which means that this weekend's snow will be the last time it ever snows in New Jersey. You can all thank me later.

    N.J. Natives new Book

Martha was for sure. Gabe and I visited Aetna a few years ago and it looked more like it collapsed and got grown over. People probably raided it for bricks over the years.
