From the lat/lon in your pic this appears to be in Nebraska. Is that correct ??

    Eating Squirrel

The hardest thing about prep is the skinning. Unlike a rabbit whose comes off almost as easy as pulling off a sock, squirrel are more difficult. There are many good YouTube videos on skinning. After gutting I quarter them and boil for about an hour in water with a little vinegar and salt. I...

    Remembering 9/11

A picture I will always be proud of and a sad memory for this somber date. This is my hard-working father who never missed a day of work in all the years that I can remember. He is assembling a television station transmitter antenna that was later delivered for installation on top of the World...

    Remembering 9/11

I'll never get the surreal feeling after hearing that the second tower was hit. I was working alone on a construction site and listening to the radio in my truck when the first tower was struck. No one on the radio stations that I flipped through knew if it was an accident or any other clear...

I wish Y-Buc Bill was still alive to give Mr. Horner some first-hand education. :(

Atlantic City Rail Line shutting down for 5 months

I cross their tracks a few times a day, every day in the Waterford and Berlin area. When I have to stop for an actual train crossing I can get a pretty good look at the inside of the cars as they pass, especially at night. Unless the passengers are laying on the floor sleeping, the cars always...

    Coyotes

They light up across the street from my house quite a bit. It's fascinating to watch the primal reaction of my own dog to those yips and howls. He gets very attentive and usually starts to howl back.

Does anybody know what this metal hardware is ?

They would make excellent plinking target holders and may end up that way.

    The flight of a monk

WTF did I just read ? Tax exempt status for this royal estate. http://www.ktcnj.org/en/about/ Wow ! If we get the Lotus Lamp offering for a mere $500.00 we can remove obstacles. I'm thinking of requesting the Voo Doo Whammy be invoked on the gate at West Mill Road...

Washington Tpke 745 acre thinning bid

Looks totally normal for a displaced Flatlander struggling to walk on hard minerals. I wouldn't worry at all. That's bad advice though, coming from me. :) I just got a lower back x-ray that confirmed I'm crumbling. They prescribed 500mg Naproxen twice a day . I didn't even fill it. I then...

Ore Beds On Cherry Hill Road

Naming it Cherry Hill Road had to be an inside joke with the people who named it. There certainly aren't any cherry trees or hills in that stretch of woods.

Ore Beds On Cherry Hill Road

Railroad Avenue, Pushline Road and Bulldozer Road were a few more signs that definitely weren't there 20 years ago. And as I said, I don't ever recall any of these roads having those names in the local dialect prior to that.

Ore Beds On Cherry Hill Road

Whoops. I was on the road that intersects Dave's Road further to the south. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.70543061370779&lng=-74.70601100128175&z=15&type=nj2015&gpx= I never new either road as Cherry Hill Road back then. Oddly, it seems like some of these road names, including Dave's...

Ore Beds On Cherry Hill Road

Very cool Guy. This sure is a dry stretch of weather. I'll never forget accompanying my neighbor and his half-witted brother-in-law on a ride one day in the winter back in the 90's. The brother-in-law was from Irvington but he had himself an F250 with 36" tires and he was determined to get the...
