    Emma Cramer redux

Nice report and photos glo. You really captured the fall colors wonderfully. I see Guy is sporting a new Jacket. I'll tell ya, hiking through the low lands, cedar, blue berry, maples and brier just seem endless don't they. Jeff

    purgatory house?

Folly, How am I lying? Did you read my post? I said the purgatory house DID EXIST. I said, or clearly implied, that the people recalling ghostly experiences there are embellishing or lying for the sake of a good ghost story. Come on man, read the post before you call someone a liar.

    News alert

I don't see any problem with these amendments. I have been dissappointed with some of the things the commission has sanctioned and allowed in the past. I suspect a large influence on the first amendment was the NJCF decision to rip up the old Demarco bogs. I am not real happy about the NJCF...

    Fishing today

I've used rapala j-7 and similar with decent results. I have targeted deep spots over the shallows in the winter. The slow retrive is news to me though as I rarely catch on a slow retrive. I'll try that this winter. Jeff

New Pine Barrens - Places to explore?

Welcome to the forum. Yeah, you are pretty much out of luck with hills and rocks. There are no rocks and the hills are too sensitive for 4x4 use. Mud, sand and water, we have PLENTY of that. Perhaps your boyfriend will develope a fondness for it as we have. I would suggest checking out...

    purgatory house?

I was under the impression there is a house there as I have seen it (or what I believed to be it) from the road in winter time when the leaves are off the trees. However, after the Weird Nj story the area was constantly being tresspassed upon by curiousity seekers and vandals. A sign was put...

    Fishing today

Do you have much luck in the winter? I've done it but have not had much action. They seem a bit sluggish. I know they are year round feeders. I don't have much luck in the spring either, which I attribute to lots of rainfall. Jeff

    Fishing today

I actually never took them completely out of the water before I released them. I'm not much good at estimating weight anyway. They ranged from approx. 14" to 19". They are real heathy and strong in there. It doesn't happen too often but sometimes, as you're taking your lure along the...

The Emma Cramer and Garfield Broome Stones

Nice find Guy, I'm glad all those years of putting this one off finally came to fruition with such rewards. So it looks like they were in the cranberry business, that bog is reclaimed (by nature) huh? Reminds me of a bog I found off of Moores meadow where the only tell tale sign was the berm...

    Jersey Devil Encounters?

I'm finding it hard to believe that a feral dog could do that? That horse's back must be over 5' high and has multiple claw marks. Dog's claws aren't designed to inflict damage, especially like that. I'm no expert, and I don't have an explaination, but the feral dog theory seems far fetched...

    Fishing today

Lots of action today. Very aggressive fish. I caught a lot and they were all good fighters. Some action shots: Handsome devil If there was ever any question as to how sharp a pickerel's teeth are...This was this plastics maiden cast, and it's last. It started with two...
