    Help Identifying Flower

That is a red clover. Likely from a lawn and garden vendor.

    A trip down Jones Road

I highly doubt it. Maybe they were bulldozer lines, scraping the first foot off to see if there was harvestable sand?

    A trip down Jones Road

I recall when that spot was all grasses waving in the wind. Back in 2003 PBX led a trip through there to the Factory Branch headwaters, looking for Swamp Pink. Mr. Parker came along in a truck with his family and was congenial; said he just wanted to ensure we were not hunters. He had his family...

    Double Trouble getting trimmed.

I have to admit, I was wrong about thinning in the past, when I used to argue against it with that infamous PBX member from many years ago (at least a dozen). For the life of me, I can't recall his screen name. A search would probably bring his name up, but...oh well. Hey, I do remember he had...

    Harsh !

Joe, what does LEO stand for? I assume something about land ownership? I don't know the answer about whether they can enforce on roads running through private lands, but if they are all breaking for lunch on said private land, I suppose all they can do is warn. That's quite a patchwork of roads...

    Harsh !

I'm just going to leave this email I sent a couple weeks ago to friends right here. Yeah, I know, we need more enforcement, but consider that the area from Whiting down south to route 532 and west to 539 and east to the parkway & Lacey Road has many different land owners, complicating chase and...

Proposed Redevelopment Plan Would Clear The Way For New, State-Of-The-Art Red Lion Diner; May Bring About Shopping Center

Just rebuild the diner. Otherwise leave the property like it is. Don't turn it into a strip mall.

    RAIN?

Here it is 1:40 pm and the winds are still strongly gusting in Barnegat with on and off rain. Quite a storm, really.

Getting into the Pygmy Pines near Warren Grove Range

If you mean the big one with smooth bark in your photo 5327, that would baffle me too. What is that doing out there? In the plains you have mostly scrub oak and sassafrass. It kind of looks like a red maple. I would have looked for the shape of dead leaves beneath it.

    "Walk-in" sign

I see what they're doing. They are hoping to improve state land for Turkey by partnering with the state; such as seeding and cutting brush, etc. Likely, they have the insurance to do this. https://www.njnwtf.org/njproj.html

    "Walk-in" sign

Odd, the wild turkey up here flourish without any extra protection from driving vehicles. I wonder what's going on, and who owns the land.

I can't read that wording on the circle symbol. Chapter of what?

    A trip down Jones Road

In regards to the mountain work, I'm overall okay with it. While standing up there with German, 2 packs of dirtbikers came up to the barrier, and seeing that they could not play, turned around and left.

    A trip down Jones Road

Speaking of Forked River Mountain, I went to the mountain after the cleanup. I then headed west from the mountain base and made it to 539, but those puddles do hold water. The big clay ones are below. It's like they had a plan, but did not finish it. I used the go-arounds.

Still Trying To Solve Issues With My Car One Year Later

Yeah, I guess wind does not make things vibrate. I guess galloping girtie was caused by an earthquake.

Still Trying To Solve Issues With My Car One Year Later

I know it's just me, but I still think it's noise from the wind airstream doing somehing funny with those holes in the frame, or some other part of the vehicle.

    Finding an Old Book

Just thinking, this is from a Trenton Times article from 1956. I could email a photo of it. Just don't mention me at all, but you should cite the source.

Boyd, you become angry at a lot of us in public, so don't feel miffed about it.

No, I have no authority to do that Joe.
