    Toyota 4runner

I got the front bumper off and built ramps for all 4 wheels. It gives me 4 1/2 inches more to scoot around under there taking care of some rust. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it really is. I also found the leaking transmission cooling lines. They are both leaking right in front of the...

    Exploring The Warren Grove Area

Why don't the locals clean that slough up, get that car out? Is that close to Warren Grove?

    My new ride

My 4runner though automatic has a DAC button. Downhill assist control. I have not tried it out.

I took off the spare and back bumper, and then wire brushed and put rust restorer on the back frame and then a top coat, but when I went to hang the spare, I heard something sloshing around in the spare when I rolled it. Took it in for someone to take it apart and look at it, but they...

    Where is this?

Actually, I don't know. I was kind of going by the vegetation and general old school bridge construction. But, I'm going to guess. Either here, or on the same creek?

    Where is this?

Ron, would I be warm if I said 'near Pemberton'?

I recall reading about the windshield being flat was a problem. More likely to break due to no curvature--rocks could not glance off like a curved one.

    N.J. Natives new Book

I vaguely remember a member either arranging to, or telling us about the plan to bury an Iron Forge site in deep south jersey. The reason was to save it from pot hunters. I thought it was an odd thing to do at the time.

Yes, that is correct. But one feed strip? The major reason I posted this is too see what it was made for.

Stone And Property Corner Searching...Fall/Winter 2020-2021

That's Terry's stream. To drive down that stream is a moronic thing to do. No sense at all. Those people doing that are ignorant and care nothing about the environment.

But Guy, to be fair, most vehicles were like that in 1973. It was common to be stuck on the side of the road, like an alternator or over-heating problem. With that said, I'm not sure how the 2007 - 20014 (?) FJ cruisers fared as to reliability, but most for sale have over 120K miles and they...

    Toyota 4runner

Good eye, I didn't see that. There was one I looked at up by Belmar, and it had a bubble at the top of the windshield, dead center, right next to the windshield trim. About 3/4" round. I told the seller (used car dealer) it probably was a rock that glanced off there. He said no, it's just the...

Here's an oldie. Does anyone know what those hook-like metal bands are on the wheel?

What to look for when trying to find an old watermill site

Old, heavy beams right next to the bank would be a clue I think. Look to see if anything is jutting out from the bank or if there is a platform actually under water. Go to Dover Forge, and you'll see what I mean. Now, clearly that's only a clue. Dover Forge also had a bridge there, so maybe I'm...

    Airships and Lakehurst N.A.S.

I used to play frisbee in that hanger when I worked there. Dead calm makes for a great spin.

Bingo Ron! I usually don't drive off-road, unless I'm crossing an open area like that one near Spring Hill. So, the only thing that really scares me is those long, muddy-looking puddles that are likely to have clay in the bottom along with deep ruts. If you get stuck in one of those ruts and...
