+1 on fabricating your own.. for my kayaks, w/ the past 2 trucks i've owned, myself and my friends father have made racks for my trucks.. each cost about $20 in materials.. vs $300-400 for a bought one.. we made them of wood and then painted them black.. they looked and worked great..

i've never heard of those types of sunfish.. Pine baron was talking about some rare pine barrens only species.. maybe that is them..
