    wading river long trip

The trip is Speedwell to Beaver Branch. You put in at Speedwell on RT563. The liveries have permission from Lee Brothers to put in on their property because it is a dangerous spot where you have to park and put in on 563. It will be about a 5.5 hour trip. Steve Edit: My bad. I think it is 5.5...

    Panther sighting ?

T'ain't sayin' it is or ain't but I don't see any size cues in those photos to give an indication of size. A 60lb panther would have left tracks that would have been documented. Steve

Batsto (Hampton Furnace - Quaker Bridge)

Like mx174k said the Batsto is a little tight at Hampton. If the water is high and fast beware, it can be pretty rough. It will be hard to move your paddle freely and being on a sit on top will make it worse. It is a beautiful run though once you get through that first part. Steve

    Oswego River????

You must not have read my other post. In high water the Oswego moves very fast. There are many strainers, fallen trees etc., across the water that can trap you and be potentially dangerous. The force of the water can push you sideways against the blockage and swamp you, sucking you under. It can...
