That is a wonderful grove and a great shot, thanks. It does however look somewhat "young" compared to others I've seen, especially the old dogs down at the end of Pestletown Road. Over what span of years has this manner of planting taken place? I thought it was limited to a couple decades or so...
Yes, it is funny how they don't get why it's a problem.
My dad & I were talking about the State planted groves a little yesterday.
He cited a few others very nearby. It has always been a pleasure sitting to make the turn at a proper sunrise and watch the sunsets washing through that grove...
So today I stop up the street from me & my son Sam & I Knock around in a cool old Pine grove right at the end of my road. It's just a neat spot to walk into.

Great!
I would like to bring my son Sam. I think he would dig it.
Now, not to sound foolish, (something I'm good at) Let's say I don't know where these bogs are, which I don't, you can provide direction?
I kinda know the way out to Wells Mills but that's about it. The part of Barnegat I...
Amen to that brother!
I trail ride lightly and quietly nowadays but man, everything you say speaks volumes. That repetition of the back tires just skating across the peaks is awesome if you just keep it up! add some tight trails & close turns and you're glad to be riding flat for awhile...
!&*@$%&*!! Unbelievable
14 Degrees here in Pestletown and this eve' when I came home and gave the cat a lookee see... a big fat tick livin' large.
Man, these things seem to get more durable rather than go away for the winter. When I pulled him off, cursing his very existance, I swear I heard...
Bob,
As always, you make solid points and have a good eye. I trust that without the object in hand it is tough to tell. All the other opinions here regarding the metal and the ornamental nature seem to be consistant. What is odd... how only one found it's way to a flea market. A sad truth as...
As Jerseyman said, someone went to a degree of effort to make it appear as stone and it seems the original poster would not misrepresent.
While there has been no more dialogue, looking at the posts it seems MARKBNJ took the original post as I did and that BEACHBUG'S second post affirmed the...
Bryant,
Welcome. Read, interact, & enjoy. This is a great group of folks and many of the regulars are well, let's just say "seasoned" like yourself.
It's O.K. guys, keep telling yourself life begins after 40, or is it 50 now?

First to Tom, thanks for starting and wish you well.
My wife & I just a little bit ago finished staging all the xmas stuff from the gifts right down to the "remains" of Santa's cookies & milk.
Layne of course is well beyond this but Sam & Jason still believe the Santa gig so for a little...
My outside cat has been turning up with ticks on him even a couple days ago. He's not just some stray. He's very clean, neutered and shots current so we do check him regularly. I was surprised when my wife found a tick the other day.
