Road blocked- alternate route to Jemima Mount

Dang Barry, you beat me to the report. I was going to Washington from Mount and came across it. This tree has been down fo a while since the leaves are all dead and brittle. I wonder if it came down in that storm about a month ago when we were at FRM. Just before I got to that tree I had to...

    Bug

I saw one today at Mount although it was much smaller. I don't know what it is but we used to call them 'Walking Leaves' when we were kids. Except for the wings it very much resembles a Praying Mantis.

    Aetna Furnace

I'd be intereseted in seeing it too. As far as it being dug up goes, I think you would see markers and grids if it was a legal archaeological (sp?) dig.

    Antiques

If anyone is into antiques, Ken and I came across a neat antique shop in Mays Landing. Check the red X for it's location.http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?z=18&n=4367037&e=522925&s=50&layer=DRG25&size=l&u=0 We didn't spend much time there but it was packed with goodies and...

    Near Devious today

It's a little hard to tell but it looks like the parts and pieces of the snake I saw in June at Atsion Ranger station. It had fallen victim to the lawn mower. Steve

Camp Jam In the Pines - this weekend

WOW! Commander Cody! I haven't heard that name in 30 years. Bob, maybe some old guys like us should go just to make Commander Cody feel at home. LOL

    Good day today!

Al, That was almost 30 years ago and many many beers ago. Back in those days I was going back there to party. I was surprised I was able to find Hidden Lakes again a few years ago. LOL I'm sure it was at or near the western lake since that is where we hung out. Have you been to the western...

    Good day today!

Way to go Al. I never saw or looked for a well at Hidden Lakes (Clay Pits) but I remember back in the 70's there was a spot near the west lake where water was trickling out from the side of a hill. Someone put a basin there and we used to drink from it. And I'm still alive too! LOL

    Cellar holes

Ben, Do you know anything about these cellar holes along this road. I didn't count them but there must have been about a dozen small ones lining both sides of the road with a couple larger ones farther off the road. This road led to a T intersection where a wrecked car was standing on end...

    Cellar holes

Thanks Ben. I'll have to explore it some time when it's not raining.

    Turtle

You're right! Our turtle was nasty looking. His shell was covered with algea. Ken thought he looked prehistoric. LOL

    Cellar holes

Is anyone familier with this area off of Pasadena Rd. It is a rough, un-used road with several cellar holes on both sides. Most were small but there were a couple of large ones set back farther off the road. It was raining pretty good when I got there so I didn't get out to explore.
