Crackdown on illegal use of off-road vehicles costly

That's called 'washboard'. I believe it is caused by the running water when it rains. It's the same effect you see on the beach sometimes.

Crackdown on illegal use of off-road vehicles costly

That is interesting. I've noticed far fewer ATVs and dirt bikes the last few times I was in the FRM area.

Al, I wave to everyone I pass in the Pines but you're right, I think I'd get a lot of funny looks if I did that back out in the world. Steve

Red Oak Grove (and Union Clay Graves)

I was out in the UCW/ ROG area today looking around a bit. That door near ROG is a garage door for sure, trash not treasure. While looking around in the woods I came upon a stripped Chevy G10 van. It was up on blocks and totally stripped. The only thing any good on it was the rear bumper...

    Red Oak Grove pictures

I've been looking at that picture of the door again. I just noticed that there is a roller at the othe end as well. I'm now thinking it is a garage door.

    Kayaking nightmare

I ran into a rascal like that last year on the Wading. It really didn't bother me much since the water felt good and I had a water proof camera. Had I had my digital camera they would still be looking for his body. Steve

    Red Oak Grove pictures

Al, I've got to get there to see this door. Looking at the pictures again I see that the hinge appears to be fastened with rivets. I also see some paint residue and paints years ago penetrated the surface unlike paints today which pretty much lay on top. The penetration of the paint would...

    Red Oak Grove pictures

Great pictures Ben. Looking at the old door makes me think this may have been a commercial operation. It's a tri-folding heavy duty door and not very typical of a barn. It's also likely this is one part of a set. http://www.njpinebarrens.com/albums/album127/aan.sized.jpg Did you see another...

    New Google

All, I downloaded the new Google tool bar the other day and noticed something neat. I never noticed this on the old Googl but it may have been there. If you click the 'Advanced Search' button and scroll to the bottom of the page you will find the option to do searches within any college or...

    Buzby's then and now

Hmmm............... If you look at the full size picture of Buzby's that bach2yoga posted you will notice 2 people inside the store. Notice the person on the left, a woman I think. It appears the head has been blacked out. I wonder why.
