    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

What good is the commission? The pipeline is clearly in violation of the cmp, voted down twice, illegally approved, sent back to the commission by a Judge, suddenly changing the date and location of public meetings without notice, then passing the commission with one member abstaining. Hell...

    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

By the way, Germany just passed an entire year using only sustainable natural resources to sustain their nation. Excepting private use of vehicles, they used only solar, wind, geothermal, and hydroelectric power. Apple computer company stored so much solar energy that they had to sell the excess...

    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

Exactly, it's about the stacking of the commission and rendering it's authority obsolete. The pipeline being built marks the beginning of the end of the Pinelands national reserve.

    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

The contracts run out the day of inauguration, doubtful that Trump can make a difference in that case. The pipeline in the pinelands cannot begin any drilling until it is brought back for a commission vote, where it was twice rejected before. I don't think you fully understand the situation.

    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

Big victory for the protestors of the Dakota Access pipeline. Congrats to all who finally reached President Obama to deny the permit to drill. Had he not acted, no doubt President Elect Trump wouldn't give a shit about the situation. Hopefully they stop the pipeline there, and we stop the...

Why so few bears in the pine barrens?

Yes, they have really taken hold in the pines on a level not matched in the mountainous forests in the north.

Why so few bears in the pine barrens?

I am aware of the more loosely committed black bear hibernation I am aware of this. Not much for them to eat in the winter months. Even with the not fully committed state of hibernation they undertake, I rarely see them out And about in January or February.

Why so few bears in the pine barrens?

I'm going to attribute this to mostly two factors. The first being out competed by a non native species, the coyote. Coyotes are omnivorous and so have much of the same good sources that bears have. Coyotes pack up, so they have strength in numbers. Black bears are poor predators, coyotes are...

    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

They totally bypassed the actual commission for this last vote. I believe that it was Nancy Wittenburg (a Christie lackey) who made it so that the last proposal wouldnt even go through the commission. They cheated, this pipeline was voted down twice. Usually that means if they want to make...

    Pineland Commission approves pipeline

The issue is that the authority of the pinelands commission was violated and completely circumvented by stacking the commision with members who will vote the way Governer Christie wants them to. It sets a precedent that makes the commission powerless and obsolete. There is tremendous pressure to...

    Eco-Terrorism in the Pines

That's pretty shitty. It could cause an accident dangering the lives of the people in the vehicles as well as having the effect of causing harm to the environment any "eco terrorists " might be trying to protect. The irony is palpable.
