    Jellyfish in Barnegat Bay

Just heard on the new up here that many jellyfish have found their way into Barnegat Bay. Yes, the bay. There were several possibilities that were mentioned but the one that most agreed on was that the pollution levels have increased causing more bacteria which jellyfish apparently feed off...

    Ghost Stories of the Pines

I often wonder how the creators of the 13th Child could have fouled up such a good story that dates back so far and was so popular. You would think that this could've been a great horror story. There seems to be no middle-ground on horror movies; they're either great or horrible. Ken

    Ghost Stories of the Pines

Well it may have not scared anyone in recent times but several books I read have stated that some schools and businesses closed down one week in the 1800s. I can imagine reporting to work and hearing "GO HOME" The Devil is nearby. Some how I don't think that would fly today

    Squealing red ant?

The Red Ants Every year I get them in the backyard. I stay clear of them and they never come close to my home. This one, however, I've never seen before except in Forked River. Ken

    Squealing red ant?

I forgot but Behr or Kendawg might know since they were also there when we were visiting Aserdaten last year and noticed this unusual bug. I don't remember it making any sounds but we didn't do anything but stare at it. Guys???

    Trashing of the Pines

If they have taken care of it in the past, one has to wonder why it happened again Since they did take care of it in the past, perhaps they will again. If not, NEWS 12, along with some of the other news media, would be my next step. There's nothing like bad press getting around...

    Trestle near Hebrew Park

Finally Well, there *might* be a group trip heading north during the fall. We will explore the ruins of Oxford furnace as well as some old churches in this area. In addition, we will explore the Paulinskill Viaduct and surrounding areas. Ken

Finally Stu, Is this your site? I've been there before and really like it. Let me know if you're ever up in the Sussex/Morris/Warren county area. There's still a lot to explore and see. I have been hiking the rails-to-trails areas and have some good shots of the old L&NE...

Teen who beat birds accused of violating probation

It seems to me that we have it backwards. Those two Neanderthals should be in the cage and not the animals.

    Alquatka Tributary

Plenty of deer! Redux The ones I was referring to are radio commercials. You should stop at Englishtown when they have the Jet-powered and Funny Cars. Even a non-race fan would appreciate this.

Plenty of deer! Redux I assume that Atco track has commercials for their racing? Is it just as bad as Englishtown? There's nothing like the smell of burning rubber or Nitro Methane burning Funny Cars :)
