Depending what town this area is located you can contact the respectful NJFFS office and they can go over all the permitting rules and regulations regarding prescribed burning with detail.

Prescribed burning season ends March 15. Sometimes it can be extended to March 31 on a day by day case if the weather ccoperates to stay within the prescription perameters. The State Forest Firewarden has to grant permission on any extensions after the March 15 cut-off.

I am an Ocean Spray cranberry grower and the fruit you are seeing in the feild was not usable do to fruit rot. These were the berries taken out by the cleaning equipment in the plant. New Jersey had a very big cranberry yield this year. New Jersey unfortunately has a lot of warm humid summers...

UGH, no snow is fine but too mild of a winter will destroy farmers with their crops like blueberries. It pushes them way too early and sets them up for a late April early May disaster.
