Glenn, we were on the west side of 539, just north of Warren Grove, went in on a good sand road and turned north paralleling 539 on the west side of a big tree filled reservoir. Turtle can provide you with the name of the roads used.

As reported in another thread, on 15 Jan this year Ro & I saw 70+ Tundra Swans on the first bog east of Lebanon Lakes, at McDonald.

This past Sunday Ro & I and our neighbor Lori, with Mark, Oji, Donna & Joe, Bernie K, were on a hike, arranged by Turtle, north of Warren Grove village. When we got back to our car Lori found a small (deer?) tick on her jacket. We were amazed, after the recent cold snap.

What a surprise! Bill and his wife were co-students with my wife Ro and me at Master Bill Ting's Tai Chi studio in Rancocas Woods when Bill was working in the Atsion area.

4:30 pm Thursday as I write this and a Great Horned Owl is hooting his head off in the woods to our west - non stop and quickly repeated "hoop hoop hoo hoo". Ro, Bernie Knaupp and I were at Barnegat Light. Walked to end of the jetty, tons of birds, including Harlequin Ducks less than 20 feet...

Al, that's where we parked and started/ended our walk. Back home and marked 7 1/2 quadangle - shocked to discover I'd done part of it and part to the west 35+ years ago. Memory a blank on that one.... We live between McDonald and your place - please give us a buzz next time you go there.

Ro & I drove out today to the cranberry bogs east of Lebanon Lakes - old map says "McDonald". We hiked the perimeter of the bogs, saw the structure below on the dike at the head/east end. Water control? Why sitting up on the dike? Also counted over 70 Tundra Swans on the bogs. Wonderful...

When Ro & i were down at Estell Manor Park (I think I got spelling correct) the other day we parked at the boat launch lot. I remarked to Ro that we'd had a really deep freeze and a subsequent thaw, as I was leaving 1/2 inch deep footprints on what should have been a very hard surface...

Just heard that it was a tied vote 7 to 7! But ties don't win. Also understand newly appointed member who was forced to recuse himself would have voted against application; he'd been on the Commission before. But a win is a win. Be interested to learn who voted how.......
