This is what I see, thats why I say a melanistic(black) color variation of a whitetail deer.

If that is a head with ears I am looking at I would put my money on a melanistic deer. Can't be the Jersey Devil, he is dead, I have the proof. :)

What a great day to be in the woods! The weather was perfect and almost no briars on this trip. We saw many nice areas today from cedar swamps to savannas. The first savanna Allison gets a piggy back crossing from Mike as Guy lends a hand. The shoal branch Bob on the dam...
