Why can't I lose this gut?

So I gather Quiznos is just as bad as Wendys but more expensive! Subway is kinda expensive compared to Wendy's too. I may just have to carry yet more stuff (food) around when I'm out. Hikers seem to live by granola bars, maybe I'll get some of those.

Bitten by a dog (DOG BITE PHOTO)

I guess you're right. But according to the village the dog will be released back to the owner April 28th! To bite again. They can only keep it for 10 days. Like I said I want to sue the town and the owner for negligence but I dont have money for a lawyer, I'm trying to get in touch with legal aid.

    Beautiful songbird

Spring is here and the birds are out singing. What kind of species of bird is this? I also recorded some clips of the bird singing.

Bitten by a dog (DOG BITE PHOTO)

Unfortunately I was carrying these boxes and didn't have enough time to react. If I didn't have the boxes I would've tried to fight back, but in my case it might have made the situation worse. I've come across loose dogs in the woods, usually it's just people running with their dogs unleashed...

Bitten by a dog (DOG BITE PHOTO)

Well all I know is the guy from animal control said the dog had a record of biting people previously, and then it was still out and it bit me. He said they very rarely take the dogs away from the owner, because the town does not want to go through the legal expense. He acted like it will be back...

Bitten by a dog (DOG BITE PHOTO)

It was my 1st time bitten by a loose dog, happened last week right here in my town on my way to the post office. I was walking along when this dog jumped on me from a house, bit my box and my wrist, then walked away. I didn't need to go to the hospital, but in those 15 min it took for the cops...

Why can't I lose this gut?

I did see Supersize Me on MSNBC a couple of years ago. It's why I dont eat fast food as much as I used to (but still too much). The question is where I can one eat, on the outside, that is healthier and still cheap? I do have a big drink of water before I eat, and I'm not really a big eater, I...

    NJ Forest Fire service

Fire danger is extremely high this year, we had all that rain which helped the brush grow and now it's warm and dry the fuels are building up.

Why can't I lose this gut?

Thanks for all your suggestions! I do not drink soda at all, when I eat out I just get water or iced tea (no sugar). When I eat chinese I generally get brown rice and pork, but also pork fried rice. I know it's bad to skip meals, sometimes I just dont have the time to eat before I leave. I know...

Why can't I lose this gut?

I've tried to do more hiking each year, but I guess as I'm getting older the genetic "curse" of my family is showing on me, which is large guts and behinds. I eat much less than most people do, I can often get away with skipping breakfast or lunch, I do admit I snack on something every other...

    Shoes

Well I generally get shoes from Target or Walmart, and can do as much as 25-30 miles in one week, and some of my hikes are 10-15 miles each. I do have a tendency to drag my feet, which is related to my "pidgeon toe" condition that I've had since I was a kid, though it's alot better now than when...

Article about NJ parks closing due to budget cuts

So people will still be able to visit the parks? I think it's silly to close parks and bar the public from hiking there. It costs very little for people to hike in parks. And even if they do "close" the parks, people will find a way in for hiking.

    Shoes

My problem is my shoes wear out after 2-3 months, but I do go on some long hikes, did two 15 mile hikes in the past week and my shoes are now worn down to the point of having no heel.

    Railroaded

Usually RR tracks (if they are in use) are private property and with trains moving through it can be risky. If there is room along side the tracks without walking on them it'd be a better bet. Nonetheless sometimes having to cross railroad tracks is unavoidable, best to look both ways before...
