    My that's a large spider

Aww She trusts her daddy! Mark, midway in my career in law enforcement, I decided to become cross-trained and took a job with the Prison System (big mistake). The inmates used to find large spiders, put them in containers together and watch them fight. Me, I don't torture anything so I'd...

    Martha Furnace; advice requested

Sounds fun, Bri. I'll tell my husband about it and maybe we'll meet up with you. Don't depend on us knowing where we are going though. We do have a GPS, a big truck and the ice chest. I don't think we'd need much more than that.

    My that's a large spider

Nice! I sure hope you don't see anymore of them. They might make you want to hurt yourself. Sue, I don't know if I can handle the maggots. The meal worms were bad enough. One thing that made me almost hurt myself is those Northern Water Snakes. When I moved up here I was used...

    My that's a large spider

Yes, it's a Fishing Spider I'm not afraid of spiders as long as they aren't on me but that one might make me change my mind! I know a little bit about the fishing spider. It will lay beneath the surface of water and eat small fish. If it can do that, it could also take a bite out of your toes...

Thanks, Jeff! I will most definitely take your advice! I don't want to have to scrub my skin off and I certainly don't want to have to pull a tick out either. Yuck!

Awww How cool, Jeff! I know they can be destructive but I love the little things. I think they are so misunderstood.

    Whippoorbill's gift to us

Bill Not at all. What a lovely thing to do and how awesome for you to share these with us. You should sell those recordings! I have some nature cd's that I listen to sometimes when I'm piddling around the house. Lots of people buy those, Bill. Your recordings are better than my cd's! I...

Have ticks always been a problem?

Argh! Boy, I've learned a lesson on the ticks up here. I can't stand the little invaders. I really don't like the idea of any kind of bug on me. I'd have to say that I got the best information from here- wear boots and use deet. Sue, I love your posts. I spent many years in Environmental Law...
