jokerman, I posted the directions earlier in the thread. Don't know if they are all that good but I am assuming paddler used them and found the area. I am not going to be working on wednesday so if you are around I'll take you to the spot.

I went back and found several more fence posts and some railroad ties. It does look like it may have been some sort of farm as there is more open area than I realized. Very difficult to assess the size of the cat. I don't think there is a species called a black panther, it's a generic term for any large black cat I think. It's tough to discern any anatomical features that would give a difinitive ID. Black leopard.

If its a dumping area it wasn't used much. the majority of what's there is shells only a few bottles and some dishes but it's relatively very little, It did not strike me as an area used for dumping garbage. How would that explain the concrete structures? This is south of the river off one of...

this is a pic of the area. looks like grape vines but I am not sure. you can see the reeds in the background, there was no water there. But I did have quite a few ticks crawling on my pants, lone stars, wood ticks and deer ticks

this is an old metal trough of some sort. almost looks like a long metal window box. Sorry for the poor pic. This was located near the primary structure.

another pic of the primary strutcture from a different angle. There is a fair amount of debris in this area. Some are dishes that don't look especially old and some bottles also not looking to be all that old but certainly not recent either.
