So that was the attack on my street. Hilarious! (I was off a few years though)

Mind blowing hype. I lived on the street that the last attack occurred on in Surf City (about 6 years ago - the news vans blocked the street for a day) So, factually wrong article with comments from somebody in Florida... Yay MSNBC! It looks to me like he had a good gumbing from a sand shark...

I am going to have to scout out that area more. The guys at the Phoenix sand pit have seen 2 Bald Eagles on the fringe of their lake as well.

My dogs were swooped upon by 2 birds near this area at the sand pit near the bombing range on July 15th 2008. I snapped this shot. I think it is a nighthawk.... so maybe the same pair (I know that is a stretch but you never know).

I added 2 pics above. It would be remiss of me to not mention the Chirping Sparrow that is fantastically upset about my lurking around the tree with her nest of chirping young. I would walk away every once in a while to let her feed her chicks.

I have a trumpet vine on a tree on my property. I tried a few times last year to catch these moments on my point and shoot camera with no luck. A few hours of camping out on an eight foot step ladder with the 300mm lens have paid off. Large sizes found here. These blooms go through the most...

Great Pics! Great dog! Very cool colors on that dragonfly.

They were flying very slow and circled twice and continued off in no great hurry, so probably a sight seeing trip.

The Preserve.

My experience with the dock at the Oswego River Preserve is that it is entirely local kids partying. My .02. BTW, somebody cleaned that place up immaculately! Very happy.
