It dawned on me that I actually lived in the barrens when i was about 16 and found a patch of Pitcher Plants on the west side of Union lake in a cedar bog along Mill Creek.

I remember a trail that heads north from the bridge a short distance bit it ends at the first island,after that you have to cross country beyond that point.
Some nice little piney islands on the other side of Martha Pond.Also a dead end ditch over there that has some nice big pieces of slag lying on the top of the hill at the end of it.
