I've been using lithium batteries for a little over a year. Before I'd get maybe a week out of a set of batteries. Now I get 3-4 months. As for rechargeables, I got a pair of Sony AA's a few days ago that I plan on trying out once this set of batteries dies.

Speaking of turtles, we came across this big girl just down the road from Alloway's Rock. Is this just a box turtle? If so, I've never seen one this large. Shell length was a bit over 2 feet, I'd say. Except for the underpart, the shell was completely black. She snorted at me too.
