Thanks Boyd! I am taking a certification course right now on geospatial technology from the GIS department at ACCC. This would make a great project even though I know it is going to take FOREVER! I will be looking at your maps and other sources and probably use it for my STARS...

So this idea was thrown out there about a year ago by a friend and kind of went by the wayside. Now, as I am taking this certification course at the college, it is bringing up whole new possibilities. I have been looking at a project to do and this was brought to my attention again...

The fire started out as two small fires, about 10-20 acres total. Maybe 250 acres with the burn out. It is in a very swampy area near Dan Bridge Rd. It has potential to grow to about 800-900 acres. I will be heading out that way tomorrow morning to see if Cynthia needs any help clearing out...

The Harrisville ruins are impressive and Hampton Furnace is one of my favorite places as well. Batsto is also a good place to walk around, in a non-woodsy environment and get a lot of history. Plus, I hear one of the ladies that works in the Batsto office is super nice...:mrgreen: :mrgreen:

From what I can tell the area is the National Aviation Facilities Experimental Center Long Range Radar Site. It IS a radome.

Yep. There was a fire out that way. The Joint Base firefighters at Fort Dix just requested NJFFS help as well, looks like it may be 1000 acres out that way....

Campfire restrictions were bumped up a notch and according the the NJFFS group that I am a moderator on patrols were bumped up to a stage 3 which means that every truck doing a patrol must have a driver and a firefighter on board. It is really dry out there, so please take extra precaution...

Guy, No, I googled them to see what they looked like. I took a couple of photos of the tree frog with my phone, but it was too dark (almost midnight) and the flashlight shining on them made them less than optimum. I will be out there again with my camera.
