New Species for me, ID help please.

Anyway, this past friday morning as I dropped my son off at my parents for the day in Medford I spied 2 tiny green frogs on the vinal siding. They were covered in dew as was everything else and it appeared they were just awaiting the sun for some warmth as they were above the height of the...

    Sssssnakeheads!?

Yet another horrible invasive species that we dont need, I thin anyone who knowingly introduces such a thing into our waterways needs an extended stay in prison, hmmmmm unless we can force them into servitude eradicating things such as they introduced.

    Cougar sited, now what?

Well I dont doubt the habitat needs of a cougar, it would not surprise me that they are around on occasion. I know of deer that regularly swim accross the delaware river south of Trenton so I doubt it would be any effort for a Cougar to do it. Also another site I regularly visit there was a pic...

    Haines Bank Cave?

Interesting post and a question I always wondered about since reading of early settlers living in caves near Columbus NJ, I always thought it odd as that area is as flat as can be. I would like to find more info on a wall of coral near Vincentown, interesting indeed. My Grandparents built...

    The Hundred Dollar Bridge

Sounds like a fun trip, when I was in college in Maine I went to a party thrown by a bunch of hippies who had a bunch of Fiddlehead's that they sauted in butter I think, damn they were really good eating, unless it was becouse I was a poor starving student, but I always wanted to try them again...

    Pitcher plant

I think the insects are attracted to the stank coming from inside the pitcher and after they fall in they cant get out due to hairs pointing down that block them and then the insects become part of the stinky water at the bottom doing all the attracting. I could be wrong.

    Scarlet or Eastern? Or both?

"more attractive than a common eastern milk." Wow I hope one of our many herpers gets a pic of one as the Eastern Milks I have caught in the Mercer County area have always been the brightest and prietiest snakes I have seen in NJ, with the lone possible exception of a young freshly shed King...

    Hello to all

Hmmmm, does this elephant group view humans as does groups like PETA ? "We feel that animals have the same rights as a retarded human child because they are equal mentally in terms of dependence on others." - Alex Pachero, PETA Founder, The New York Times (January 14, 1989) “Every child in...
