That was a fun night and it was a who's who of pineland characters. If you look around the Flickr site with the photo you will see other NJPB members, unfortunately they didn't get the rare turtle sighting! Woodford Cedar Run will have a presentation at The Pinelands Short Course with live raptors.

There is a Pinelands Comm. meeting on friday, unfortunately it's at 9:30 am. When I was dealing with a roadside mowing issue I called and left my name and description of my issue and always got a return call.

Every saturday nearest to the full moon there is a hike at Whitesbog. We start in the village and go out to the bogs, usually 3-5 miles. Usually a little history and a little nature (night time frog and bird calls). Mostly just a nice night time walk.

I have two words-GREEN HAZE!

The first saturday of every month is volunteer workday and I help with the upkeep of the village. I don't think anyone showed up for the tour today. Our next event is a moonlight walk on Jan.26 which I may be the leader on.

This saturday 1/5 there will be a Whitesbog village tour at 1:00pm. Call 609-893-4646 for more info. Afterwards you can drive out to the bogs and see the Tundra Swans.

In the plans I have it looks like the square shaped field is going to be used. They are going to make 1oo injections into the ground forming a wall of ZVI that is 510x35 ft which the plume has to pass through on its way to the Success Branch.
