    Pbr

Pinepaddler, you obviously know good beer! Yes, they are three of the best. Had to pick up a motorcycle part in Harrisburg a couple of months ago and stopped in Stoudt's on the way back for a couple and a delicious German dinner. Wish it was closer. Len

    Square concrete boxes

Growing up in the farmland of Bucks County, PA in the forties, I used many different outhouses. They went from one holers to four holers, depending on the size of the house. They all sat atop a deep pit and lime was used to...well, you know. And yes, the old Sears catalogs, before the shiny...

I've lost count of how many times that place has changed hands. Once, I even lost the entire bar 'til I realized they moved the road! Years ago, a lot of very interesting people hung out there. Len

    James Ungehajer

He sent me a PM earlier this month mentioning he once worked near where I live. Then a couple of follow-ups. Very cordial. After seeing his photo of Cedar Bridge Tavern, I asked him the location of it this past Wednesday and have heard nothing. Hope he is OK. Len in Bristol, PA

    Pine Barrens Adventurer

Radar dome resembles the one that was next to the NJTP at RCA's Mooretown plant in the 60's related to the DEW Line. Or maybe there was a NIKE site nearby. The cover protected the radar antenna. Len in PA

    Atsion Mansion

As an old timer, when I was a kid, the Atsion mansion looked terrible. I was excited when they at least secured it and painted the outside. Now the prospect of it's being brought back to life is wonderful. When I pass places like that and Batso, I love to just dream about the grand times those...

    GPS advice

From what I have been reading about the newer GPS models is that there is a newer main chip they are using that speeds up the initial satellite acquisition. And has more power. Just my two cents worth! Len in PA

    Historic Photos of the Pines

Thanx for posting those great photos. My mother was born and raised in Atlantic City. I have many photos of that area in the teens and twenties. Amazing to see how they were dressed on the boardwalk.

    Has anyone read this book?

Jerseyman, First let me say that I thoroughly enjoy the great knowledge expressed in your posts. I had a customer about fifteen years ago, who taught at a local community college, tell me that my mid-fifties "college prep" high school education was superior to what they were doing. Maybe...
