Parks, Forests, WMAs open only for passive recreation

The Franklin Parker Preserve entrance by Chatsworth Lake was insane yesterday. Parking lot was full, cars on both sides of the street. Took the dog up to Apple High Hill. Nobody was there. She sniffed near the locked gate and made the siren go off!

Parks, Forests, WMAs open only for passive recreation

I have been taking my kids out everyday to walk in the woods out in Greenwood WMA. They are going stir crazy doing computer based classwork all day long. I figured there would be less people walking around out there. Honestly I have not seen much activity in the woods. Perhaps people are just...

GALLERY: Look Back at Batsto Village

Not for real, although the History channel had a show "History of the Truck" it was the first one they showcased. The one Mack has still worked and they were driving it down the road and talking about how powerful it was.

    Winslow Junction

Took a walk through Amatol/Race track area today. They made a bunch of new fire cuts. Perhaps they are going to burn down there too. Afterwards I took the kids over to Winslow Junction. I could not believe the destruction and damage that has occurred there in the last year. Every inch of train...

Annual forest fire mitigation program is underway in N.J.

I was out Lacey Road today walking in Parkers second pit. As Guy said, there are 2 fire cuts that have been created. Each entrance in marked with pink tape. Driving from Mountain Rd/white gate towards town there is at least 4 other taped areas. There have been forest fire trucks parked on the...

    Warren Grove Bombing range

Looking at the satellite images of the WG bombing range it looks like they have an old train out there? Something they practice strafing? Does anybody know what some of the other items out there are? Buildings or old vehicles...

    Mopar In The Pines

Most of these cars must not have been out there that long. Every car I found in the late 80s early 90s always had FLYNN spray painted on them. Even if it was in the middle of nowhere

    Mopar In The Pines

There are 2 old cars near Union Clay Works on top of a hill. One is a Chevy caprice classic. Not sure what the other one is. They are northwest of the well in between clay and woodmansie roads
