    Fireworks

Ever stop at 'South of the Border' on I95, NC/SC borderline I recall. I think it was called rocket city  Could arm a small country with the stuff they sold.

    Fireworks

Law changed in 2017, but just for sparklers and similar stuff. These tents are pretty big for just that. Maybe it was changed again.

    Fireworks

A couple of pretty big tents have sprung up in local business parking lots with signs for fireworks for the first time. Anywhere else?

    Not So Stealth Camping

The box turtles that roam around our place always seem to drag some shells out with them. I have never seen them hatch, but its the same routine each year. I guess some shells get stuck to them. The shell remains disappear overnight.

    Deet Does Work. ...on Mosquitoes

Once DEET gets to destroying something, it won't be salvageable. It just gets worse over time. You may want to check out Raymarine as they bought Raytheon recreational marine back in 2001. Raymarine has a customers forum. Avon SSS Expedition strength is the best stuff I have found. Even...

New to NJ, & looking for places to explore

Welcome to NJ. Check the State Parks and Forests and their associated non-profits for group walks and talks, as well as NJ Audubon; link's below. Also county parks have similar programs, you would have to search each county for info, I attached a link to the Ocean County guide and web site...

Apple opposes Judge's order to unlock shooter's phone

A tangled web for sure. No issues on my end, my phone does one thing, phone calls when I am travelling, and not very many of them. I think I still might even have some of the original minutes that came with my tracfone that keep rolling over ;)

Apple opposes Judge's order to unlock shooter's phone

Oh. Can't the owner of the Apple phone not back it up to apple or just delete the stuff that is? As you can see, I have little to no knowledge of apple products :D

    Ticks & Chiggers--a study

They are in abundance in Cape May, especially the meadows, NWR, and WMA. Each Spring and Autumn Audubon birding festival you can find groups of visitors scratching their chigged ankles in unison as they pluck the wayward ticks off their pants. :siren:

I would think a rational person would see the results in about 3 seconds  That guy is nutz. Since DEET destroys plastic's, I never use it. Lots of less destructive stuff around.
