Looks like you all had a good day in the pines. Everytime I walk through the woods my eyes are scanning the undergrowth for colors in all the green. It's a bummer when you take a picture that looks good out in the field but is blurry when it's downloaded on the computer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I remember reading that there are over 500 different sedges in N.J. or was that sedges, rushes and grasses combined?

This was on the trail along the Rancocas. Right by the old foundation. The Cardinalis was an easier ID. It was on the banks of Smithville Lake along with the Juncus effusus and Carex crinita. This was there also.
