Guy, Where do you think it was located? My guess is the grassy clearing on the east side of Beebe Ln. Whoever demolished the place did an excellent job cleaning up the area.

My guess on the stones location is based on the picture in the article. You can see it's right next to a concrete pad by a building. It's not even visible in the photo. The article also states that the stone isn't in it's original spot. It was moved when the family sold their farm.

Up here just about every drywall installer drives a F350 Superduty Turbo-diesel double-cab, so those overhead expenses are up there. Si!:taco:

I have no question that it was there. I was just saying that everything was cleaned out after the demolition. I was also wondering that the current Rt. 70 might be wider than the original Rt.40 making the roadway closer to where the pumps were located.

Several years ago I noticed that there weren't any foxes around on IBSP. When I asked about it at the bait shop they said nearly the entire population was wiped out by sarcoptic mange. Last month my niece spent a couple days there and said she saw some, so it looks like their making a comeback...
