I finally made it to the Pemberton R.R. Station yesterday and picked up Scott's Atlas and Judith Olsen's History of Pemberton Twp. I missed out on the gazetteer on abebooks but hopefully the Burlington County Library will have it. I spent many hours in the N.J. room there back in the 80's and it...

We heard deer walking through the woods, there was splashing noises and then we saw two heads float across the water, they got to the other side,their...

    Burlington County Insane Asylum?

I'm hoping the Pemberton R.R. is still open on my way home from work on Monday so I can get a copy. Right by the Almshouse is the house a friend grew up in. It's listed as one of the residences of Jonathan Smith but was originally built by Benjamin Jones (Halstead). He once told me about all the...

    Anyone else seen this website?

I like the way he aligns his group with anglers and hunters to pad the numbers on how much they contribute. It's like saying me and Bill Gates earn a combined 45 billion dollars a year.

    Little Pine Mill

Does anyone have any info on the location of Little Pine Mill. The photo in Forgotten Towns gave me an idea of where it might be and I have located some depressions in the ground and a foundation. I would like to have some more info to make sure I'm on the right track.

The Pointville graveyard is still intact right alongside Texas Ave. I read of someone local being buried there a few years ago. I think a few local families must have plots still unused. Would anyone have info/pictures of Little Pine Mill? I have...

I am very interested in any pictures from this area. My interest in pinebarren history and folklore started in the Pemberton Twp. area and progressed outward with every book I read. I was looking at a pictoral history of Browns Mills in the library just the other day and was amazed to see a...
