We did it the old fashioned way a couple of times over the years. The look on peoples faces when we popped up on top was priceless. And you will be happy to know the road to the top has been repaved, but closed for the season. No more frost heaves ;)

I am pretty sure the parks encourage following the IMBA trail rules on the multi-use trails, although I do not recall ever seeing one of the signs similar to this one. Most Mt bikers know of it as the ones you encountered, but some do not.
It's coming. We had 3 mornings with heavy frost and daytime temps in the mid/upper 40's. Autumn colors were spot on with high elevations already done :D
