    The NEW Beer Thread

That's no horseshit, Clerk. There's no better world than that wherein beer meets archaeology. But yes, two good beers there.

Dr. Smith's Neutral Water Health Resort

Mark, thanks for the info. Do you know what type of mill was established there by Dr. Smith? Also, is it true that he claimed to be born in 1776? I've heard that before, but I've had no luck tracing the claim to a source.

Upper reaches of the Webbs Mill Branch

Indeed, it is. That Hudson River Canyon is really something. Unfortunately, whatever channels were cut into the now submerged continental shelf by ancient Pinelands rivers have disappeared beneath the sand.

    Attention NJ Forest Fire Service

Recently, the Forest Fire Service really did a number on the Batsto nature area where the footbridge (in disrepair) crosses the Sleeper Branch. They burnt a very small area and left a really big mess. A couple observations: - They senselessly dug a trench right through the Mullica River...

Upper reaches of the Webbs Mill Branch

Awesome posts, Spung-Man! Do we have any idea how deep and wide our rivers were at the point where they met the ocean prior to sea level rise?
