    Wolves

Been to Lakota too, great place and by the way 46er I seen a Mountain Lison on the Mullica in 78.I know I'm not a biologist so I don't qualify to know a mountain lion from a deer but degree aside i really can tell the difference even at 14 years of age. ps,maybe it was deer in a tree?

Nice place to paddle and picnic

I agree with you.Much too nice for the hoards,They should block the roads off altogether so i can camp back there illegally by boat:-)

    Wolves

Why doesn't it stand a chance?Deer get across the roads everyday and they are nowhere near as bright as a wolf.Of curse a few don't make it as well but a wolf is much smarter.Moreso even then a dog I'd wager.

but can you detour the 542 pleasant mills bridge by going around nescohague lake as I showed on the image or is the bridge on pleasant mills weekstown road also out? It makes no sense to be able to go over the 542 batsto bridge at all if there is no place you can get to on the other side except...

    Davenport Road

You know if they did make a strip mall out of it the accompanying parking lot would be a habitat improvement for sea gulls and house finches.I see both frequenting mall parking lots quite a bit. Okay I'm being a wiseass now.I'll back out:) Al ps They made a strip mall out of a special area of...

Nice place to paddle and picnic

Oh ,I thought you were saying you could get across the Batsto using 542 when all the signs say otherwise.I have been crossing at green bank anyway but i come into Weekstown from Elwood. It lets me avoid Hammonton altogether.

Brings us to the topic of these cedar regeneration projects you see where they "clear cut" aseveral acres of cedar and then put up a sign telling you this really isn't a clear cut it's a cedar regeneration project.Did it occur to them the cedars wouldn't have needed regenerating if they hadn't...

Nice place to paddle and picnic

I've been on that island and love it.Thats Gabe's neck of the woods. I was thinking of a clandestine campout on that island but you would be spotted from across the Mullica so it would be a no fire camp. It's very open and when I was there someone had set up a teepee of sticks like they were...

Yeah Bill I know most Enduro clubs clean up real well.I used to live in Belleplain and I know the Greenbriar is not cleaned up well afterwards or it wasn't in the 80's,perhpas now.Used to leave arrows and water jugs everywhere and the spectators left beer cases everywhere but on the other hand I...

Super Jeff! I wish I had the photo gift you and several others on this forum have.I don't have the eye to pick out photos from the landscape so I just try to find a spot I like and take a pano of it all which of course is real cool in a way but bring a host of problems with it like...

Those prickly pear are better earlier, they dry out as winter progresses. If you split the skin like I did with a knife and then pop the seeds out with the tip then fold the skin back inside out you can curl your lips up and scrape the pulp out with your front teeth, very good as long as you don't...

Were you ever run out of there by a Bill Smith? About six ft,snow white hair and glasses?Or the ex cop that lives on port cumberland road, six ft and dark hair?Bill is gone now but we saw no evidence of bike tracks out there except for some type of ATV right around the old sand plant ruins and on...

Thanks to everyone for coming.I know it was a bit wussy for a pbx hike but most of the places I wanted to take everyone already had trails to em.Those woods really are nice to just straight line bushwack through, very pretty and very little wacking. In summer i even barefoot woods like...

I'm definitely going back to try the clay spring waters.I want to see if it's as good as the Tuck Everlasting spring and if I don't drink the water I won't be on any PBX hikes a hundred years from now.
