Looking east from the top of the last photo, you could see the main mountain. Not badly burned except those big logs on the one side.

Getting to the mountain area, you could actually see the mountain forms. This area was not as hot, except in some areas, like this little mountain to the west of the main mountain.

This is Carex barrattii, a once-threatened sedge that was delisted several(?) years ago. This was a very unusual patch of over a thousand easily. Amazingly uniform patch about 50' long X 15' wide (a guess). A handsome sedge, I've always said.
