    I'm 5th in the list when you search for Pine Barrens in Google. Two wikipedia articles, the golf course, and Cathy's site are above me. I'm numero uno if you look for "Ghost Towns in the Pine Barrens" though. Woot!

    Fortunately I don't really care where I rank in Google. I just run the site. Not having to make a living off of it is liberating.

    That's exactly why they do it. If you get linked from a "high ranking" site in Google (such as this one) it boosts the "value" of your own links, pushing them higher in Google's page display. It's very common for spammers to come along and just make a dummy profile with a link on their profile...

    Actually his leg brace irritated his knee. He got an infection and died. What a way to go.
