    Goshen in Camden or Burlington?

You may also want to check out this thread - looks like this very topic has been discussed before. Hopefully linking to a specific post is working.

I bought a gun and intend to use it.

It seems to be a real phenomenon, at least in nearby areas. Here's a relevant study, but this is from North Jersey: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0378112719303044 Maybe there are some mitigating factors in play in this area; overabundance of other understory plants...

    Goshen in Camden or Burlington?

If it helps at all, Old Inns and Taverns in West Jersey has this: So, Salter...Salter's Ditch?

    Identify this structure?

I was checking out one of these last week, right here, although this is clearly a different one than the OP. Right by the road. Looks like there's a few on the McDonalds Branch. As you can see, a real talented artist did some work on the door. There's an empty attached metal shed with a gas...

    Clay Pipe at Hampton

Fascinating, thank you. Is terra cotta not really made in longer sections because it's too expensive or difficult to produce? Or too structurally fragile if made too long? Or for some other reason?

    Clay Pipe at Hampton

Yes, indeed it has - the burn has everything fully exposed right now; almost all of the tall grass is gone. If you want to check out the ruins in the clearest conditions possible, now is a great time.

    Clay Pipe at Hampton

I think any tapering you're seeing is an optical illusion, maybe from the angle I've taken the photo. The sections all looked to be the same size to me.

    Clay Pipe at Hampton

Hmm, yes that's exactly what I've done here, not sure why it doesn't work. I was referring to your posts #4 and #16 in that thread. Yes, Hampton Furnace, sorry for any confusion. The pipe is here.

    Clay Pipe at Hampton

I recently noticed this exposed clay pipe alongside a big ditch in the road at Hampton - would this be the same pipe mentioned here and then again here in this thread from 2011? Is this basically part of a storm drain installation then, to keep the road dry? Or maybe it has feeders from the...

Prescribed Burning Today - Wharton, other sites

Satellite imagery from today is now available, but it's not as interesting as I thought it might be. These burns were small. Looks like they burned only half the fields at Greenwood. That burn near Mt Misery must have been very small, maybe only this highlighted area. I don't see any other...

Kind of crazy that you have to get into the registry editor just to change the scroll bar size in Windows. That should be offered as an accessibility option. And the behavior in the browser is still weird - maybe Edge just does not account for that value being changed.

Might be worth specifically asking the county about the usage rights. This page says something about all of the imagery being available for download in .SID format. Burlington doesn't seem to have a nice mapping tool for aerials like this, but there is a request form for digital or physical...

Ah, awesome! Thanks, another one to add to the mapping toolbox. Looks like the source layers are here but I don't see a way to directly download, either.

I would really love to know too. Especially the 1940, 1956, 1963, and 1970 aerials. 1970 is clearly different from your Wetlands imagery, with broad coverage. I have seen some Army Mapping Service imagery from 1956 on EarthExplorer, but that, too, is different than what's available on HA. There...

I have not seen this issue (Firefox) but it looks to me like a stylesheet problem. For some reason the drawer isn't wide enough for all of the map labels and the text is breaking on to the next line. So for example, "Natl Hydrography Dataset" is being broken into "Natl Hydrography" and then...

I think I got that in my head because of Historic Aerials, which has these marked as "1984." I saw that label for years, and then when I later saw the images on your site, they looked very similar to me. At least in some places, they do appear to be nearly identical imagery, with a key...

Ah, sorry, by 1984 I mean the one Boyd has labeled "1980s NJ I/R Aerials" - from what I understand they're from '84. Although that may not be true in every single area.

I should be able to check the extent of all of the burns in a couple of days. The previous day's imagery usually shows up the next day, but it needs to be clear. The cloud cover today will probably obscure everything. No idea. Check out the differences in that area between 1984 and 1995, though.

Here is some SuperDove satellite imagery from about 10:20AM yesterday. I have a non-commercial license to access and reproduce these here, hope that's OK. Here is Greenwood getting started: And this is near Mount Misery. Imagery copyright Planet Labs Inc.
