Yea the Clark Branch runs straight through that section. There is a lot of area in there especially now. It looked like the drier areas were burning well on Friday.

To be clear we are not talking about “unmanaged paths” as you call them. They are roads. Don’t be afraid to call them that here. Would you be for or against increased funding if it came with the stipulation that little or no roads would be closed?

Why wouldn’t you be pushing for the roads to be repaired so they could be patrolled properly? Isn’t your initiative “Fix Our Parks” meant to do just that? If the Atsion mansion fell into disrepair would you be pushing for its demolition?

I thought it was crazy that it seemed like I was the only one that liked some of my favorite locations in Wharton.

My son and I made it there too. It was a nice turnout considering the weather.

Many of the impassable roads in Wharton are that way because of lack of maintenance not abuse.

You’re trying to confuse everything with the word enforceable. All the current roads in Wharton are enforceable. You can argue that they are not because the Park Police aren’t properly equipped. That would be like the local police department being equipped with mopeds only for traffic control...

Call “ enforceable routes” what it is. Road closures. The idea that you need to have widespread closures to be able to enforce the laws is borderline moronic. The roads are still there. You actually give the illegal ORV’s a safe haven because law abiding users that could report them won’t be...
