I'm afraid she's going to get lost. She just takes off and goes,a few times I had to holler for three minutes to get her back. Not as bad as the husky i used to have.I had to chase that dog for a half hour before. The husky would see the truck when we got back and take off running.Sophie at least...

http://www.magellangps.com/Products/Triton I use the 500 shown here.Magellan used to be a real pain and their support sucks but I just found out why.Magellan has been bought quite a few times in the last few years and the new owners are putting out their own models and discontinuing the triton...

    Michael Huber Prairie Warbler Preserve.

I read an account on another forum some where of others complaining about that green trail. The swamp is so open there is no hint of a trail on the ground south of the bridge(How did they get that thing back in there anyway?) and half the blazes are fell over or gone.I had to keep leaving my wife...

    ManuMutt!

Me and Sophie a.k.a "SophaRofus" hit the preserve yesterday. Her first official bushwack. She has been a trail dog up till now and never seemed to realize she could push through the wall of brush into a whole new off trail world. I broke her in easily since as you PBX folks found out manumuskin...

It's funny to think at first we were looking for above ground stones and went over the whole area and said man out of 80 stones theres not a single one here,Then you found that one inscribed stone just poking through the pine needles and we started going back over them and the ones barely poking...

    Biggest Cedar.

this tree was 9ft 6 inches in 74.I see the Big Mutha thread measured that tree at 9 ft 8.75 inches but that was recently. The Nixon tree may be bigger after another 37 years of growth if it's still there. If the Nixon tree is bigger I nominate it the Big Daddy. In any case the Big Mutha looks...

I hunted for a half an hour for that thing last winter and I believe you've been out there too and came back empty handed. We're going to have to start dropping an half acre of trees to get a good fix like the surveyors do:-) Al

    More pine beetle news....

I would think high intensity wildfires would work,of course they are not going to want to hear that. The population at large anyway.

    Wolves

Been to Lakota too, great place and by the way 46er I seen a Mountain Lison on the Mullica in 78.I know I'm not a biologist so I don't qualify to know a mountain lion from a deer but degree aside i really can tell the difference even at 14 years of age. ps,maybe it was deer in a tree?
