    Beer (again)

You can't say you've been drinkin' all day unless you start in the morning.

    Something I found....what was it?

I think it is cranberry related. It was a pretty hopping area in the 1930 aerials. It could have been a small dwelling. I have seen very small dwelling foundations around some old bogs right here in Ptown and in Parkdale complete with a spear well inside the house. These dwellings might have...

    Mannis Duck Pond

Down here I got a better chance of seeing Santa Claus sharing a blunt with the Easter Bunny than a State Parks and Forestry employee clearing downed trees from our woods roads. You gotta doo what you gotta do. It's common sense.

    Green Bank Inn

I have to admit, I buried a few there back in the day. :) That would be beers of course.

    White Christmas

Not quite to that point yet but it is starting to lose its fascination a little. The brutal wind all day today screwed up my hunting for both ducks and deer but I was out there. Tomorrow I am field hunting geese and we are going to shovel a clearing for the decoys and see what happens.

    White Christmas

Thanks Boyd, you just ruined my Christmas. I have a Union pitch fork and a transfer shovel too that I know will outlast me. Well not to despair, I have already found a new US made snow shovel through the wonders of the internet. One of the last US made digging tool companies, the Bully...

    White Christmas

A cheap tool makes me very angry and I start throwing things and muttering profanities when they break. I am also a die hard Buy American guy with every single thing I buy. If I can find an American made version of anything, I will go out of my way to find it and buy it. I bought a US made...

    Someone's Last Stand

You ain't kiddin'. That stand was probably last used twenty or more years ago. Here is a closeup of one of the steps, an old spike that has survived in the heartwood.

    Someone's Last Stand

I love old stands Ed, thanks for reviving the thread. Today I was wandering around in a desolate area of the pines with the muzzleloader looking to take out Bambi and I came across this artistic relic. I took this this morning and hunted the area again tonight from my climber. This area is...

    Jumbo, Oldmans Twp

Looks like an older version of picture I took a few years ago of three drunken woodsmen near Mount Misery. It was a blustery day but me innards were warm.

    Beer (again)

Ouch. I'll have to sample the Southern Tier. Their IPA is really good. I am still hvaing trouble nailing down six packs of Racer 5. Canals only carries the 25 oz. bottles. Hops and Grapes in Glassboro carries sixers but was out last time I went there.

Ahhhhh, Parker shotguns. If only I had the money. The old VH that the boy has across the front of the sneak box would be worth about $5000.00 today in just fair condition. The fancier grades are in the $20,000.00 range. The deer picture too has a classic gun, the Savage 99. It is the lever...

    Beer (again)

I am sad to see that almost three months have elapsed since our last Beer post. I'll fix that. I just wanted to note that a lot of the winter ales are on the shelves right now. Two of my favorites, Flying Dog K9 Kruiser and Boulder's Never Summer Ale are at Canal's in Berlin. I have...
