    Music for the day

I know where that guy who posted that got his moniker. He reversed the name. I had the album for about 45 years and sold it for peanuts a couple years ago (I think).

    Penn State Forest Q

Interesting. Back in the late 70's, I met a couple guys in a Datsun 240Z(?); they were doing a road rally, and some was in the pines.

Things you find while driving around....

I consider stuff like that to be trash. Some canoers will get ideas, and it ain't such a great idea to turn our pines into a ride on an amusement park.

    Penn State Forest Q

Very few roads in that area are incapable of being driven. Especially with a RAV. The sand is not bad in most places either. Most are fairly hard packed. Things you find while driving around....

I always wondered about that, but never looked into it. I wonder if there was more to it than money for the state. They lilkely also wanted people to have liabiltiy insurance in case they injured others no matter where they were.

    Piney Bridges

That looks like the one we did on the Tulpehocken one year. By the way, nobody should ever hammer nails in cedars.

    Sandy Causeway Controlled Burn

That last guy was like "what are you doing, can't you see we have operations here"? He was probably miffed you didn't stop.

Your first digital pictures of the Pines

My system did something funky. I have these in a folder that I marked as 26 July, 2003, but the date taken says 2001. I don't know how that can be, but it has to be July 2003. Here's a pickerings morning glory and the data.

This is what I got when I clicked on properties. But in looking at it, no way could it have been 24 Feb. I'll check around.

    Is this a boat???

I wonder if it could be a stand up paddle board. Maybe trying it out in a safe spot.

    Is this a boat???

I've been in there surveying for plants. Only a foot or so deep at most. This photo is from a wet season, most times you can jump from hummock to hummock and/or wade right through it in boots.
