On a side note, I was at a spung south of 72 near Chatsworth Wednesday afternoon, after the big rains. The ground is sucking water up like a sponge. It was barely damp and drying up quick.
I came upon these dead gum trees in a swamp of the Pope Branch north of route 72. The rodents will eat the bark and then go on to another tree. These were all dead.
I read the one he wrote on Alaska 2 months ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it (Coming into the Country). He goes to live in a very remote village and talks about all the characters. Very funny and insightful as it's all true.
