I've likely been to that one (off 532, right?). They dug the sand out to build dikes or use it for something else. Therefore it is like any gravel pit you see that was man made. It is really the upper ground water level they have reached by their digging. Why the blue color? I'm not sure...

I had no idea that sand pit on Hampton Road was there. I suppose it's hidden when driving on the road.

Some things in life are worth a ticket. Just to see their startled face would be sweet.

I'm sympathetic with the city drivers on this one, but you should not try to ticket this rude behavior. But drivers should band together and lean on the horn if anyone crosses in front of them against the crosswalk light while staring at a screen.

I really think Batsto Village should be first on the list. You drive a bit more, but you can get a lot of information there too.
