ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

That list of action items should have been cut after item 4. If those action items 1-4 were in fact advanced through public policy, we wouldn't be talking about road closures today.

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

You are absolutely right. I would never volunteer to help close down any part of the woods. I would gladly volunteer to assist with the placement of cameras or better yet, spike strips, in the more problematic areas. Cameras are now being used effectively to combat the dumping problems and there...

ORV Management In Sensitive Areas Of Wharton

Have they locked out Lock's ? This is bullsh&t. Personally, I am banking on the continued lack of sufficient State Parks and Forestry personnel. Imagine if these tree hugging , khaki wearing, LL Bean/REI poster children volunteers were alive when the pines were exploited for their...

Plane Lands On Highway In Ocean County, New Jersey (Rt 72)

Holy S word ! When I read 72 I was automatically thinking of the stretch through the pygmies near Barnegat Wreckers. That would have been a much better place to crash land.

    Tick removal

We have had one for at least 5 years. We use it literally 2-3 times per week on the dogs. She had to use it on me last week for a tick on my back that I couldn't reach. Most ticks I remove from myself with just my finger nails but the tool definitely works very well.

    The NEW Beer Thread

I'll have to take your word on that Bob. :)

    The NEW Beer Thread

You have piqued my interest in Longhammer Guy. I'll bet I would probably like it. A beer a day for six days sounds like a way of leading me toward abstinence. Six beers a day for six days has a nicer ring ! ;)

    Droppings ID

The good news is I can tell you it is not a rat. Tell your daughter we need a sniff test, a poke with a stick test and a seed/hair content analysis to be able to help further. :)

Several full strength doses of Anacanapanasan worked for me.

    Music for the day

I would have paid good money to see someone push the Grateful Dead off of the Empire State Building ! :D

    Land Bound

Best live bait there is and damned good eatin' too. Think that one is past his use by date though.

    Pine Snake

Isn't that sort of like animal harassment. ? I would have ran the other way like a little girl and let that critter enjoy the rest of his day and life. :)

    Front coming thru today

That tree is affectionately known by me and my sons as the "pee tree". My sons are 29 and 28 and they still remember me pulling over there on our way back from a woods ride in Batsto to take a leak. They were probably 5 and 6 at the time. Time flies.

    Post Apocalypse: Miller's Bog

Me fetching a pail of water. I did not fall down or break my crown. 6 gallon wine juice buckets are the bomb.

    Post Apocalypse: Miller's Bog

As Boyd said, my power was out. Sometimes if we have believable advance notice of a big storm, snow or other type, we will fill several buckets with water and store them for use in filling the toilet tanks. In most cases, we will ride out a one day outage with 4 or 5 buckets and some bottled...

    Post Apocalypse: Miller's Bog

Miller's Bog, Pestletown, NJ at 20:30 hours on Tuesday night. The sky was absolutely on fire. The conditions imparted an eery feeling of uncertainty in both my wife and I as we stood there on the dam getting ready to gather water. I have at least a hundred photos from this vantage point taken...

    Front coming thru today

We got gas last year and I only did stove and dryer so far. Going to stay with oil for heat for awhile. Last year oil dropped a little and it is a hotter heat than gas. My plumber buddy dropped gas lines into multiple areas so I can do whatever whenever.
