    Hiking/camping partner

The older I get the more I realize how short our time here really is. You are fortunate to have grown up with a close knit band of brothers and you can find comfort in the memories you made together. Scott

    Beaver's

I found a 110 in the middle of a WMA woods road today down in Estell Manor. It was apparently dropped accidently by a trapper. It was properly tagged so I posted on a trapping site to see if I can return it to its rightful owner. In NJ, body grippers (Conibear is actually a registered...

Bob, the crossing was about here. http://maps.njpinebarrens.com/#lat=39.64765084854641&lng=-74.66171391281125&z=15&type=topo&gpx= Bill remembers it being within the old lake bed from the earlier damming of the Batsto and Mullica. There is a beautiful bridge built by Meteor MC there now...

Searching For The J Roger Brick Stone

I would love to have that bike right now Bob. It's Harley Davidson with what appears to be the flathead motor. Can't quite fully see the heads in the pic. The gas tank puts it in the 1940's. That emblem was used 1940-1946. Here is a classic re-post of my friend and member of this site, Y-Buc...

Searching For The J Roger Brick Stone

Some would assume that the extra s was an error and it would likely end up as Roger on those State surveys, in my opinion. His full name was Joseph Rogers Brick and he died October 31, 1991. That is a fact, not an opinion.

Searching For The J Roger Brick Stone

One little nitpick. It is J. Rogers Brick. Did some work for the family in the past.

    Music for the day

You gotta like a little Celtic Punk. My son and his new wife had this as their grand entrance song at their wedding reception in September.

Bitter cold may help thwart beetles tearing through Pine Barrens

If only the cold affected chiggers and deer flies the same way. Could you imagine a day in the woods in June without deer flies ? Eutopia.

    New Sweden

Fort Nassau was located on the southern tip of Gloucester City at or near the confluence of the Big Timber Creek and Delaware River. Its exact location remains a matter for discussion. The Gloucester City Historical Society (GCHS) has a wealth of information on this. I had dealings with one of...
