    Interboro Gun Club Property Stones

Here's a site I use occassionally in work for survey data. NJACTB: New Jersey Association of County Tax Boards. It's free. http://www.njactb.org/ Select record search at the top. You can easily see what your neighbors pay in taxes and it is searchable by name, address, block or lot. Just...

    In Search Of: Y-Buc Bridge

As promised, here are two more pics of our own HD Y-Buc Bill on the sand ridges between the Sleeper and the Mullica in 1950. Keep in mind that the early Harleys were "suicide" shifts with the shifter on the left side of the tank. To shift you had to let go of the left bar and work the...

    In Search Of: Y-Buc Bridge

Gabe, Bill is very specific in his descriptions and he says it was the Sleeper, not the canal that he was crossing. I am going to post two more photos tonight that shows the high sand ridges between the Sleeper and the Mullica. Thanks for posting the other information. I know I had seen...

    In Search Of: Y-Buc Bridge

I got two more photos tonight of Bill blasting through the sand ridges between the Sleeper and the Mullica on the same day the other photos were taken in 1950. I will scan tomorrow and post tommorow night. Scott

    Y-Buc Bill The Harley Man

My best guess is right around 625 lbs. for Bill's 45. Bill's bike was a 45 cu. in. (750 cc) flathead. The 1947 EL Knucklehead weighed in at 650 lbs and was a 61 cu.in. model with the same rigid frame and front springer setup.

    In Search Of: Y-Buc Bridge

I am really interested in learning more about the huge lake created by the damming of the Mullica. I don't recall much ever being discussed here about it. It disappeared between 1930 and 1940. It was one hell of a lake and the canal was part of the operation in some way too. I can only...

    In Search Of: Y-Buc Bridge

I think the bridge you show Guy is the existing bridge location over the canal on what is West Mill Road. The road I took down through the lake bed yesterday cuts off of West Mill a few hundred yards before (east of) the West Mill Road canal crossing. It was exactly as Bill described. Here is...

    In Search Of: Y-Buc Bridge

Yesterday, I set out with the dog to find and photograph the area where the photo of Y-Buc Bill crossing a stream on his flathead HD was taken. This was a stream crossing taking place in 1950. If you recall from my post in the recreation forum, Bill had responded and said that the...

    what happened to bird's eye?

It's still there Jeff. Hover your mouse over aerial and a dropdown appears with options for regular or birdseye. Another change appears to be that you can't kill off the left side of the screen. Scott

    Batona Trail

You only need the blaze when hunting Al. Jersey allows just a hat too whereas states like PA., require chest, back and head. (vest and hat) Here is a list of all the state's rules. http://www.ihea.com/hunter-education/hunter-orange-requirements.php Still quite a few that have it as...

    Batona Trail

Great trip and photos George. That is one awesome piney cruiser if I ever saw one. Not a lot of Vettes on Washington Pike these days. We stopped for fuel in Nesco and grabbed a hoagie at Farmer Johns that we took down to Crowleys to eat by the Mullica. After that we we went to Parkertown...

    Batona Trail

If you are nervous, I would only recommend hunter orange during the 6 day firearm. That is the one season where all the clubs are out in force and you may have a very, very remote chance of finding yourself in the middle of a drive. This year that will be December 7 to 12. Most clubs are...

    Y-Buc Bill The Harley Man

That is exactly where I thought it was taken too Jeff. Looking up at that bank and the bridge to the left looks like that spot. You can still ride through the stream just upstream of the old wooden bridge and the newer piped crossing. The bridge and remnannts that are there today were...

    Y-Buc Bill The Harley Man

For those of you that don't know, Y-Buc Bill on this site is a very good friend of mine. He is 84 years old and is more active in sportsman's groups and the outdoors in general than I can ever hope to be. I see Bill every week at our sportmen's club and I always listened hypnotically to...

    Fishing today

Ahhh, we are witnessing yet another primal instinct. Males are pre-programmed to hold great fear and disdain for housework. Thus, Jack's great displeasure with the sound of the vaccuum. It worked on me. :)

    Small game season opens

Rabbit was always the traditional target for me on the small game opener when I was a kid. This year rabbit opened on September 26 !!?? I have friends with dogs and we generally don't go out till January when we wind down on deer hunting.

The Great Swamp Branch ...... A PBX Hike

First I would like to thank Guy and Bob for their persistence in finding a way across the Great Swamp Branch. After we had attempted this feat in May and failing, Bob was not going to give up. As luck. or no luck would have it, the area we selected to cross had three major channels instead of...
