    Spotted Camels

That is a good question Al. Actually, what comes in can crowd out what was there, so it becomes more of an even swap. In our area, a beaver pond is usually not large at first. That comes with time as the trees die off. The problem is, the new ecosystem crowds out rare species that used to...

    Spotted Camels

On the Wading river, from the Chatsworth Lake dam on 532 to about 100 feet below the RR bridge is the only stretch of truly flowing water left. The rest all the way down to the big reservoir below 563 is slack water with at least a dozen dams. Awful. I miss my old streams. The only good stretch...

    Spotted Camels

I'm hip. I've been thinking the same thing with regard to beavers.

You do always complain about having bad luck Al. Killing crickets brings bad luck.

    Let's Talk about the PPA

So, what you are saying then, is that those who are against the map should go over there and picket the establishment? Go ahead, it's a free country. Just don't be a dick and say that they are the ones limiting access. PS: Of course, trying to force the state to back off by attacking Pineland...

    Let's Talk about the PPA

Well then, why didn't you say so! Please, enlighten me. Tell me why it would be okay to hassle that business. Even if they are tied to PPA, the employees there are simply doing their job—which has absolutely nothing to do with closing roads and limiting access. In contrast to the MAPs intent...

Not really a point made there by you, 46'r.

    Let's Talk about the PPA

That is painting Pinelands Adventures with too broad of a brush. You really can't equate them with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. The mission of PA is very limited and specific (adventures in the Pines and education), whereas PPA is involved more with policy and planning overall.

    Fruitland Monuments

It was briar swamp just like all the rest of the area. Obviously an artifact on the aerial. I knew that possibility going in, but had to see for myself.

    Fruitland Monuments

PS: it really is a cool item, and with that porosity in the flat portion, it does strengthen the thought that it was a pouring.

Put a wooden handle on the top of the taper and polish the bottom. Give it to Jess for an iron. She simply has to set it over a burner for a minute to get 'er hot!

    Fruitland Monuments

Guy, remember the day you, me and Jess investigated that light bulb on the 95 aerial? I remember something happened to Jess that day. It was tough going in there. Tough as hell.

    Let's Talk about the PPA

Certainly does not make the actions they do okay Guy. And, if you don't stop it now, it will get worse and worse. The jeep clubs will get larger, the tires will get larger, and the playground will expand exponentially. PS: I am an environmentalist at heart. If we don't play our harp once in...
