    Dealing with Comcast

I simply cannot do it without yelling at them over the phone. I pay $1,200 a year for internet and some TV (encore, PBS, History, TBS..etc...NO HBO or Showtime, or triple play junk). My "promotional" is up this week, so I called them. They want to give me less for more money, or more of what I...

    Blurry Plotwatcher Photos

Guy, those trees look like they are in rows, maybe planted. I don't know where you were, but PBX did a trip from route 70 to Pasadena road in 2003(?). That looks like an area we went through close to Mount Misery Road.

FAA proposes to allow commercial drone use

On that site, Superman1369 quips: "This doesn't bother me. This is what I'd prefer gun enthusiasts do. Go out in the woods with no one around and play with toys - shooting at fruit and phones. This isn't a problem to me."

    IE is finally dead

Barely_Normal writes in the comments that: "Too bad, the funeral would have been welcomed by many." What a smug comment. I still use it. I resist change to a point. It still works for me, and I'm not eager to change to a new browser. But I am also not stuck in the past. I'll change it...

Man Goes Missing During Hunting Trip

Hmmm. That is a good thought, but there are some entanglements involved. He could be on the U.S. Government property, and doing it so close to their tower and wires would be dicey. And It would only be a strange and wild turn of luck that you'd see an outline in that tangled brush.

    Lines on the Pines 2015

I want to congratulate Ted Gordon on his reissue of "Herbert Payne: Last of the Old-Time Charcoal Makers and His Coaling Process in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey". For anyone who wants to learn just how charcoaling was done, this is an excellent essay with very good photos that combine to show...
