I will make a call on thursday, my next day at work on the base and confirm that visitors can park in the paved parking lot. I do know that all visitors must check in at the range building.

The main base and the range are closed on mondays. There is an observation deck for public visitors. If the gates are closed and there is flying operations going on, do not get discouraged, it is because the planes are using (IR) Infrared lasers and the general public can't be on the range.

Only partly cloudy tonight, i am hoping the northeast sky is clear and just clouds to the west. It's a short 10 min drive for me. I will be up by the range gate.

I also heard it probably is beavers. The state checked it and their solution is to keep salting it and plow the water off once it thaws. Wonderful state at work. Drive safe through there it wont be fixed for a while.

It did not burn. I believe Bass River Township ordered it to be demolished because it was starting to collapse.

This one was sighted near the Frog Pond road Intermediate School.

Looks like it lol, I wasn't too sure... I just figured it was a Great Horned... are they common in NJ? I've never seen an owl with that color, thats why I thought it was young.

See attached picture of the owl.. it really looks fake but my friend took a picture of it as he was backing out of his driveway in Parkertown. It looks like a very young owl.

I stayed on that main road... it just was a little tighter than the road (Carranza?) that goes across the bridge to the right. I got to the point where there were some old bogs to the left. Took a walk out and it was an over grown bog with a bunch of dead cedar sticks. Got real swampy looking...

The "T" is where there is a bridge directly to your right... and a sort of foundation to your left before you make the left? And what is the name of that bridge? I think I passed a tree farm or plant nursury on the way out. That road once I turned left got a little tight for my silverado...

Saw two grouse in one of the fields off three foot road in Stafford Forge WMA in Little Egg Harbor back in March during a controlled burn.
