We need the rain. Time to take a quick run in the woods
THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM ANDREA WILL SLIDE THROUGH THE
REGION FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. THE POTENTIAL FOR VERY HEAVY
RAINFALL EXISTS DURING THIS TIMEFRAME AND CAN PRODUCE SMALL STREAM
AND URBAN FLOODING.

It's not just for us Southerners... the area includes a good part of Burlington County and ever Philadelphia. On the radar I see an intense area of storms just entering Cape May County on a trajectory that will bring them pretty close to me though.

They are starting to throw around the "D-word". If you missed it last year, trust me... you do not want to be hit by one of those! http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57588861/long-line-of-fierce-thunderstorms-could-spawn-derecho/

WASHINGTON | A gigantic line of powerful thunderstorms could affect one in five Americans on Wednesday as it rumbles from Iowa to Maryland packing hail, lightning and tree-toppling winds.

Meteorologist are warning that the continuous line of storms may even spawn an unusual weather event called a derecho, which is a massive storm of strong straight-line winds spanning at least 240 miles. Wednesday's storms are also likely to generate tornadoes and cause power outages that will be followed by oppressive heat, said Bill Bunting, operations chief at the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla.

Yeah, hopefully we will be fine. But we had no warning last year, and it started a *long* way from NJ... this is a composite radar image from June 29, 2012. You can see the intense area just about to enter Salem County and it continued to sweep across the South.

Didn't amount to much of anything here. About 10 minutes of very heavy rain, maybe another 20 minutes light rain. These recent storms have been very different.... no wind at all, just rain. :)
