For the birders, how's the 2006 list going on so far? I haven't been out much at all, but here is how it's going thus far.
Robin, Cardinal, Canada Goose, Mallard Duck, Black Duck, Dark-eyed Junco, Downy Woodpecker, Hooded Merganser, Great Blue Heron, Ring-billed Gull, Rock Dove, Hermit Thrush, Mourning Dove, Red-tailed Hawk, Red-Bellied woodpecker, yellow-bellied sapsucker, european starling, tufted titmouse, white-throated sparrow, and carolina chickadee.

This winter has been warm, supposed to get up to 55 tomorrow, spring is going to be here faster then we think!

My wife's flowers in the front of the house are starting to grow.

Salamanders

Looks like the weather is going to be unseasonably warm for the near future with a "warm rain" on Wednesday. I will be heading out to look for Tiger Salamanders on Monday the 16th so wish me luck. I have never checked the spot where I believe the breeding ponds are this early in the year, but I'm getting cabin fever and desperate. Also going to try my hand at geocaching in the area! Will post pics!
